Character Analysis: Chase Young (Xiaolin Showdown) Background Chase Young was once a noble warrior, fighting on the side of good. He, along with Grand Master Dashi and Master Monk Guan, would face the evil forces from Wuya. However, like all good things, it must come to an end. Enter Hannibal Roy Bean, an evil Bean who would tempt Chase with his destiny. You see, Chase believed he was destined to be the greatest Warrior ever, a Xiaolin Dragon, but there was one man who stood in his way, Master Monk Guan. Hannibal Roy Bean would project a false testimonial from Guan suggesting that he would take that position from Chase, leaving him in his shadow. He then offered Chase the Lao Mang Lone Soup, a Soup that would keep Chase young forever, along with the boost he needed to reach the top. This ate away at Chase, and he began to think it over, until he decided it was time.
